Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Fractional Controller to lead financial operations and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting for our organization. This role offers a flexible, part\-time engagement for experienced accounting professionals who excel in managing complex financial landscapes. As a key financial leader, you will oversee accounting functions, implement robust internal controls, and support strategic decision\-making through insightful financial analysis. Duties
- Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports.
- Lead month\-end and year\-end closing processes with precision, providing detailed account analysis and variance explanations.
- Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks and other financial management tools to streamline processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to assist leadership in strategic decision\-making.
- Perform technical accounting tasks related to double\-entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, and complex financial concepts.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and cash management strategies to optimize liquidity.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with all applicable standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting professional within non\-profit, governmental, or corporate sectors.
- Expertise in public accounting practices combined with hands\-on experience in technical accounting issues.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software integrations is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation efficiently.
- Excellent understanding of cash management strategies and payroll processing procedures.
- Solid financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data into clear reports for stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
